Doug is the big cut-up of the bunch. 

He always has a new joke to tell or some wise-crack to make. 

Doug's also the other string breaker in the band.

When he can keep all the strings on his mandolin, he's a really good picker and singer. 

In camp or on stage, Doug's always full of.........life, yeah, that's the word!

Doug Hawkins comes to the band from Trenton, GA. 

He was born 7/28/53 and started playing just a few years ago in 1997.

Doug listens to nothing but bluegrass and some of his favorite bands include Lou Reid & Carolina, Blue Highway and Lonesome River Band.

He likes to play so much that he doesn't have a favorite--- just so it's bluegrass, Doug's ready to play it.

When he's not playing music, Doug spends his time people-watching.

According to Doug, actions really do speak louder than words!

When asked what he would like to say to everyone, Doug's response was a simple, welcoming "Hi!".
